Miss Florida USA 2016 Coverage
The Miss Florida USA 2016 preliminary competition was held last night, July 10th. Honestly, whoever picked the timing for this pageant could've have done worse. I think that it is being overshadowed by Miss USA, especially because of all of the Trump drama this year. Ashleigh Lollie can't even make it to the pageant! But, the show must go on.

The Miss USA Judges
This year things are a little different this year. While, yes, in the past there have been one or two USA, Teen USA, or Universe winners on the panel of judges, it is generally made up of actors, actresses, musicians, businessman, etc. But, the Miss USA 2015 panel of judges consists of only M.U.O. titleholders! How cool is that? Check them out below.

Miss USA Preliminaries - Evening Gown
On July 8th, 51 contestants took the Miss USA stage by storm. First was swim wear and then there was evening gown. While some of the dresses were absolutely gorgeous, some of them should have never made it on stage. But, it's not just about the gown itself. It's about how the contestant wears it. Take a look.
First up: Alaska. Her dress was very chic and Miss USA-ish. That color yellow could catch anyone's eye. My only complaint is the hair. Even though its pretty, its not the Miss USA look (same situation that Miss Jamaica 2014 was in). On the right we have California, Natasha Martinez. Her dress was on-point, but the cleavage was way too much. Over-all she did well, top 5 material.
If Georgia doesn't make it past prelims then I declare myself the worst at predicting who will make it past prelims. She looks stunning, and definitely picked the right color for herself. I could take or leave the necklace. Madison Guthrie's (Alabama) dress is one of my favorites. It is so fitting and flattering on her body. I honestly have no complaints, except the fact that she makes me feel like a sack of potatoes. Let's talk Illinois. I know that a lot of people think that her dress is fashion forward, but to me it just looks weird. If she had have opted out of putting that flap thing on the front, the dress would have looked much better. She has the confidence, though, which is so important. Pennsylvania is a freaking show stopper. She looks sexy as hell. One of my favorite gowns of the evening and definitely Top 5 material! Honestly, when I first saw Ohio's dress I thought it was ghastly, but then it quickly grew on me. It is so figure-flattering and she really knows how to work the stage. I have to say, her dress is different from what I've seen before. New Jersey looks simply amazing. The red compliments her skin tone perfectly. She has a young looking face, but this dress definitely gives her some more maturity. I was pretty underwhelmed with North Dakota's dress. She is so gorgeous, but this look definitely plays her down. I am not a fan of the two lines going down the middle. Michigan's dress is on the fence for me. The color is bold and fierce, especially because of her flaming red hair, but I do not love where the waist line falls. It makes her torso look awkwardly long. If she had have cut the top off at her waist instead of her hips it would have looked a million times better. |

Miss USA Preliminaries - Swimsuit
So, the Miss USA prelims just aired on YouTube and I couldn't be more excited to see who is crowned this Sunday! It's so hard to pick your favorite when everyone is amazing, but there are definitely some swimsuit and evening gowns that stood out more than others. After prelims, my Top 10 have altered a bit, as well as what gowns and swimsuits I consider a hit or miss. Let's take a look. (Going to apologize in advance for the blurry pics).
For starters, California and Georgia ROCKED IT. They both were toned nicely and picked the perfect swimsuits for their bodies. California's confidence was to-die-for. And, Georgia's hair was on point.
Now, let's talk about Idaho's walk. Perfecto. Please, give me the number of your walking coach. Her turn was super fun and absolutely flawless. Indiana's walk, not so much. It definitely could have used some oomph. Her walk was too laid back. Minnesota and Rhode Island both had a little trip up. Nothing too bad, but still noticeable. Don't fret, we know how hard it is to walk in tippy-tops. One word for Texas and Ohio: GORGEOUS. They definitely put some work in this year. Ohio is model sculpted, and Texas has killer abs. Remind me to hit the gym. That's all I have to say for swimsuit! Stay tuned tomorrow for my Miss USA 2015 Preliminary evening gown reviews. |

Jeannie Mai Recants Her Statement and Withdraws From Co-hosting Miss USA

"To my friends & fans:
Last week I announced my heart-felt decision to support the women of Miss USA by remaining on board as a co-host. My focus was strictly on the women involved, who share the same ethics of hard work, commitment and passion for their careers and causes that I do. I have co-hosted for the last five years various Miss Universe events, and I’m grateful for the many women I’ve met and friends I’ve made along the way. I feel terrible that the women competing this year have fallen victim to current events.
Let me be clear, I condemn the recent words of Mr. Trump, and find them immensely offensive. At the time I made my decision to remain part of the Miss USA pageant, I was under the impression that Mr. Trump would no longer be involved in the production of the show in any capacity what so ever. In addition, given Mr. Trump's ongoing antics, including his most recent episode today with the current Miss Universe, it is clear that Mr. Trump’s actions have and will continue to distract focus away from the real stars of the show - the women involved in the pageant. .
Therefore, I am respectfully withdrawing from my responsibilities and commitment as co-host of Miss USA. From the beginning, I announced publicly that I was donating my compensation to a worthy charity. Although I will no longer be participating as a co-host, I still want to support the women competing in the pageant. I feel the best way to show that is to lend my support to this year's winner of Miss USA and to make the donation I promised to her platform and charity.
Ladies, you worked so hard to get here. I am proud of who you are and wish you the best of luck Sunday evening."

Shots Fired on Twitter as Trump Responds to Paulina Vega's Official Statement![]() The fact that someone of this level of idiocy can run for president baffles me. Not only has he offended millions of people around the world with his racism and bigotry, but he has managed to take the Miss Universe pageant down with him. And now, after Miss Universe Paulina Vega makes her statement, he has the audacity to suggest that she renounce her crown. Of course she disagrees with your comments, Trump! Anyone who has any decency as a human being would know not to generalize an entire country of people and class of immigrants (who by the way are NOT all "druggies" and "rapists). But, it's ok, some people were just born at a lower level of thinking than others. Let's not give Donald Trump another thought.
Miss Venezuela World is...![]() Anyela Galante from Guanare, Venezuela. She was crowned yesterday, July 4th, in Caracas, Venezuela. She is battling thyroid cancer, and studied at the University of Fermin Toro. Anyela will compete at Miss World 2015 in China. Good luck!
If You Don't Already Love Them Enough...About a month ago, Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA shared a beautiful message that will encourage almost anyone, anywhere. If you were ever on the fence about liking them, this will definitely seal the deal.
It's Official and It's Sad...![]() Panama has cut all of its ties with the Miss Universe Org., wanting no association with Donald Trump and his negative comments about immigrants. Panama will not participate, nor broadcast the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. They are the third country to pull out after Mexico and Costa Rica.

Miss United States 2015...![]() Summer Jayde Priester is the new Miss United States! Congrats! When it comes to pageants, I don't always love the winner. In fact, most of the time I had another candidate in mind as my first choice. But, honestly, I can not say that about this year's MUS. Summer was the perfect choice from the start! Anyone who follows her on Instagram would know that. I look forward to seeing what she accomplishes this year. Also, it's lovely to see a fellow Carolina girl take home the crown. Best of luck to you, Summer, in your future endeavors. And to the Miss United States 2015 judges: excellent choice!
Miss USA Glam Shots: We're All Obsessed![]() This past week marked the first week of the Miss USA competition. With prelims on the 8th and finals on the 12th, we will soon know who our new Miss USA 2015 is! But, first, let's talk about these American themed shots. Just when I thought this class of Miss USA couldn't get any more gorgeous, they proved me wrong by releasing these photos. Last year, I honestly wasn't a huge fan of the music/New Orleans Jazz themed pictures, so when these came out I was pleasantly surprised. Take a look at some more of the pics below!
